● Taking on new projects

Custom web apps, built by one person who sees it through

I custom build for small, owner-run businesses on purpose-fit technology rather than a page builder — no template, no half-finished site, reliably delivered

I take on few projects a year, on purpose. The ones I take, I care about more than is strictly professional

Why me

Aphrod-IT

Named after the goddess of beauty, which sounds like a joke until you have used software nobody cared about

The name is a pun, and it is also the standard. Beauty in software is not decoration. It is the difference between a tool your staff work around and one they actually open.

The technical part and the human part are not two jobs. Get one wrong and you have not done the other. Software that breaks loses people's trust; software nobody wants to open never earns it

For the customers

Browse the collection and pay by card, MobilePay or Apple Pay. The money is only taken when the parcel is sent, and an email follows every step — with the receipt attached when it ships

For the owner

Products, pictures and pages are edited in a friendly, familiar editor. Orders, stock and prices have their own back office, built around how the shop is actually run. Monthly sales reports with VAT download as a PDF, ready for the accountant

Behind the scenes

Customer details are deleted automatically after two years, as the privacy policy promises, and the shop and its editor can be updated separately, so improving one never means closing the other

Why it was built this way

A low monthly bill

It runs on one small rented server with no subscription and no fee per sale, apart from the payment provider's. More of each sale stays with the business

Built to the owner's wishes

MobilePay and Apple Pay were a must, because that is how customers here like to pay, and the owner plans to sell abroad one day. The payment solution was chosen to do both, and the shop can take on more visitors without being rebuilt

Made for the owner

Instead of bending the business to fit a standard system, the back office was shaped around how the owner already works — so the daily tasks take minutes, not tech support

About me

From the delivery room to the code editor

I spent seven years as a midwife in Norway before changing direction at 34. I had never seen a line of code — I did not even own a computer — and I finished the computer science programme in January 2025 with a 12 average

I currently work as a software developer at NDI A/S and before that I worked the same job for 2 years at the Danish Safety Technology Authority - so I have real world experience in both the public and private sector

People assume the two jobs have nothing in common. Both are about understanding what someone needs, making them feel safe, and helping bring something good into the world

I build the unglamorous half too — the hidden features that decide whether a system actually gets used
